Speed Tuning USA chips for W210 E55?
hey guys, Everyone keeps talking about power chip but nobody mentions SpeedtuningUSA. They have the chip upgrade for the W210 for only $325 and it adds roughly 26HP and 20NM torque (whatever that is in ft. lb) Has anyone tried them ??
also they have software for new W211 for $350 and the gains seem very nice as well.
any input would be appreciated. thanks

Yeh, I called them a while back and asked for some info about the chip for the W210 (E55). However, when I spoke to them, I did not get a feeling that they knew what they were doing or what they were talking about. When I told them that the chip would be for my "E55 AMG," the response was, "Is that a Mercedes or BMW?"
I also asked if they had an actual dyno printout of the chip performance on a (W210) E55 AMG, all they kept referring me to was their website and the dyno chart thereon (which I do not really trust).
Just my opinion. I hope that I did not offend anybody.
If somebody does have their chip, please let us know the results.

Software upgrades should not be where you look to save a few dollars. While they all promise around the same, the fact is very few companies get any gains. Most US software companies license software from the same source in Europe. The result is the same gains/losses. Some sell it quite cheap (usually ones with no r&d built in). If you buy the wrong software, you can easily lose your motor...

I know several people that run speed tuning's chip in their TDI's , and two in their w210 E300's and have had great results. Also they mentioned great customer service. I believe the reason you might not have gotten the best vibes on the phone is because they recently moved from europe, and don't have the best english. They just brought over all of the tuning programs from their parent european company. The chiptuner just has to reflash the computer, so he doesn't have to be up to date with the cars - he just takes your ECU number and model, gets the right program, and reflashes.
