junk ford/chevy on the dyno last night

My buddy loves building these things and has done quite of few. the engines come from junkyards and are typically high mileage. He already had other fairmonts in the 9's.

That's awesome, I love sleepers like that. I use to have a 84 supra with a build 7m-gte motor that would run mid to high 11. That was by far the most fun I had on the street, looks on people faces were priceless!

Hooks hard, the entire front ends twists and yanks off the ground......... and as it makes it's 1/4 mile pass the hatch on the fiberglass topper is flapping in the breeze!!!!

What does he do to the tranny/drivetrain? No way the stock stuff holds that power more than once. Cool though, and x2 on farmtruck.

I believe that is the same Fairmont that has been around for a few years. Runs in the 9's IRRC...

05 White Pano E55, Cadillac CTS-V
A guy local to me built one of those not to long ago. Chevy 5.3 truck motor from the junkyard, put new bearings in it on the tailgate of his pickup truck and put the engine in the car. Put an ebay turbo on it and installed in a Fairmont. His runs on E85, not sure what size the turbo is, but he ran a 9.4@147 if I remember right.

You'ld be surprised how long those things stay together! 150,000-200,000 mile junkyard GM engines with nothing done to them except a turbo /fuel system added, making 800-1200 hp sounds fun to me.

Wow. You had a 7m hold together? A buddy of mine had a 89 with over 400 wheel on a 7m and he kept killing rod bearings. My other buddy did a 1j swap and is currently installing a stand alone. I love mk3 supras. Highly underrated. Your from Chicago? I wonder if I've seen it.

I keep thinking about doing a 5.3 ls swap with a turbo in my c43. It's just too easy to make power.

Yeah it held very good, previous owner spend a ton of money on the shortblock, but I overheated it,my fault, and never put it back together, here is how it happen

Also had a 89 supra that made little over 500whp, very fun car. Got to find that video
Here it is . It's at supra Marcos old shop STC

Haha, everybody knows Marco and his fast white cars. That wouldn't happen to be the same white mk3 that was at sp in Bloomingdale about 15 or so years ago is it? Not many nice ones around anymore. If you need any 7m parts I think one of my buddies had a few engines lying around. One partially built if I remember correctly. It was in his red mk3 that now has a 1j and a r154. My other buddy had a blue one, 400whp almost 15 years ago when we were teenagers. Stock internals, sc400 maf larger compressor, intercooler fuel pump and injectors. Teenagers budget build. It was fun but that car is long gone now.
