Designo interior
Has anyone bothered to get a designo interior? I dream of silver with red. I saw an SL55 in this combo and loved it, but maybe it would be too much in a sedan.

A while back someone posted pictures of a white W211 E55 with red interior. Probably too much for a lux/sport sedan, but a interesting combo to say the least. Do a search under"White E55", I think it should locate the post for you.

A while back someone posted pictures of a white W211 E55 with red interior. Probably too much for a lux/sport sedan, but a interesting combo to say the least. Do a search under"White E55", I think it should locate the post for you.

E55 and Designo
If not already available, soon there will be two Designo upgrades available, one in graphite with a sort of greenish gray napa leather interior (Graphite Edition) and the other in mocha with a sand napa interior (Espresso Edition).
The Espresso Edition formerly had a coffee-colored leather; this time around, that most beautiful leather is only available on the S55 and the CL55.
No other Designo upgrades are available in the United States, due, I am told by MBUSA, to the NTSB safety test requirements; they simply don't want to endure the costs associated with testing more leather or paint colors.
That decision is sad; the colors and textures available in Europe are fantastic. One that especially grabs me is the use of granite stone rather than wood for the trim.

How much extra is the desino interior...or is it part of the AMG package? I have seen 2000 and 2002 e55's both with and without two-tone leather interiors...

i posted the pictures and it is too much for a sedan to be REd inside. becuase he had the dashboard, arm rest and everything in red.

These are actually factory all-weather mats. I purchased them from my local Mercedes dealership. I beleive they were $115, if I'm not mistaken, but that was years ago. Price probably has gone up some since then. I still have the original cloth AMG mats, still in the plastic wrap, never used.
Also weathertech sells mat very similar to factory, you might want to check them out as well at www.weathertech.com
