Killer Chiller In cabin
Does the in cabin air temp setting affect the chiller? For example If I set the HVAC to 59 will it cool better that if I had it set at 72? Another question does the a/c have to be on for the killer chiller to work

I think no .....Freon is Freon it's going to stay cold no matter what temperature you have it on, but if you retain your heat exchanger still ........the heat exchanger will heat the fluid to ambient temperature as the killer chiller tries to cool the fluid lower than ambient temperature kind of counterproductive....the air conditioning compressor I believe has to be on for the killer chiller to work but I'm not sure either of these please do some more research if you must you can call Joe Kincaid and he should have the answers... I was able to pick up a cheap AC compressor in anticipation for my current one poop'n the bed! I'm not sure of any of this I'm just telling you what I think.

Cabin temp doesn't affect the KC performance at all. Takes about 1-2mib more to cool the car to a comfortable temp but when it's 90* and you can cruise the streets at 60* and have all your power it's worth it.
I prob have one the "better" cooling setups on my car with no HE. As the sig states KC, trunk tank and meth!!! It was 67* over the weekend and I could get temps as low as 37* held steady at about 50* but the biggest temp diff is during summer months.
Let the KC handle cruising temps, meth takes the top end and the tank provides plenty of fluid.

Yes A/C has to be on for the chiller to work
and Deleting the Heat exchanger will net you problems in the colder times when you'd rather heat than a/c, its better to incorporate a bypass valve
Hmm does this sound correct?
Also, Every one is set on this trunk tank but I love the cabin airfilter location It looks insane from an advertisement stand point your thoughts?

There is no need to have a bypass in the winter. I run my KC everytime every season. Turn the heat to 80 whatever degrees I need to stay warm and just drive. I never press the AC off button or turn the fan off.
Course living in Alabama it's never cold here for long but after 1 winter with the KC and HE connected I just completely bypassed the HE. Course with a HE and the KC bypassed in winter months up north would give you lower temps when below say 30-40* but then good luck getting traction. It's not worth the hassle for me to deal with a bypass. Nearly 2yrs with the KC and no problems to speak of with no HE.

As far as trunk tank vs cabin filter location I like my car looking stockish as far as items sticking out screaming "hey look right here at me I make this car fast".
My tank is of course in the trunk "hidden". KC blends in well to those not accustomed to how a E55 engine would look given the "hidden" placement and standard black hoses and connections running to it. Hell the connections on it are fancy but you never see them. The meth control is fairly hidden and I use the washer fluid bottle to hold the meth. This also then tells me when I am low using the OE sensor. Now the carbon fiber is purely looks and bc I love carbon fiber and it's just for looks.
However everyone has their own thing and that's what's great when people make cars their own, that's why we mod!!

I had a 180 and moved up to a 195 but cooling is key which is why I have my cooling system I have now. KC is fine with just a 180 but moving to the 195 realized I needed meth and then that wasn't keeping temps down just cruising so added the trunk tank for extra fluid capacity

Redw20855amg do you think having a KC would help with road racing? What set up would you recommend?
