Chop off the rear-mufflers. Then you will get your, "roar".

Resonators and secondary cats delete will not increase the sound level too much.
Delete the primary cats or muffles them the exhaust will significantly louder

Now of the 63s resonator deleted is a different story

E55amgsd, just chop everything off and add LTH. If you want that "roar", that's what you want. Drone is very minimal nothing that should be discouraging you from doing this.

Yeah man, trust me these cars are fully capable of angering your neighbors into filing noise complaints. Chop mufflers off, add LTH...

leave primes ... just cut out mufflers then you are good ! lth = long tube header

I personally have kleemann header stock secondary and res + miestershaft mufflers ...

I would consider it pretty loud ..but it drones like a ***** and I don't know how to change that.

The drone everyone is referring to is the resonant frequencies your exhaust/mufflers make. Every effort was made at the factory to limit the amount of noise that gets into the cabin from the exhaust. When we change the setup whether it's adding long tube headers or cats or the mufflers it changes the resonant frequencies of the exhaust. Some setups make a crazy amount of noise at certain speeds and rpm's that make their way into the cabin. You can HEAR and sometimes FEEL the exhaust from the cabin. In some cases like my poor little Focus...it sounds like the pipes are in the car with you. It's cool for some people and overwhelming for other people. I made every effort to keep the cabin/exhaust on my Benzo drone free when I put together my exhaust system. My signature has my mods and even at 80 I have a barely audible drone. I mean barely audible. But at WOT she SCREAMSSS!!!!!!

yes that is mine and thats a full custom build 3" all the way exhaust, its very beastly.. NOT cheap to do. You can source c63 mufflers now maybe a bit cheaper.. i bought mine almost 2 years ago when they were super hot and i think i was the 1st or second person to do this.. i paid 1k had like 15k miles of a cclass than i sold my oem one for 750 so i did good.. plus the exhaust build another 5hrs into it soo yahh.. but worth it at the end
