I have one. If you'd be willing to pay $15 plus actual shipping both ways, you can just borrow it if you don't need one permanently.

i think they are different, as i have looked at one on ebay. the one on ebay says 112k/113k "non compressor" engines... here is the link to the one that WILL NOT work...

thats probably what im going to have to end up doing. my other option is to buy the flywheel lock, or use a pry bar on the flywheel. im just not to fond on going that route.

Takes a little more work but the flywheel lock tool for for the m113 is a good tool to use as wheel.

Exotic, this tool requires the starter to be removed, correct?

If you just want to loosen up the crank bolt you can brace a breaker bar against the floor or a block of wood and just touch the ignition key for a split second and it will pop loose.... I have done it a dozen times on American cars -- as long as the engine spins the same way it will work -- if you need a puller to pull the balancer off then then that is a different thing

that cannot be done on these, as these cars have a automatic start (meaning you don't hold the key to the starting position, and release once the car starts.) these you just turn to the starting position and release it, then the car will start it for you. think its related to the keyless go?

plus im changing pulleys, so i have a new crank bolt that has to be torqued to 150 foot lbs + 90 degrees, so i will need the tool, and a large torque wrench.

looks like borrowing the tool is my only option, unless someone has one they want to sell?

How quickly will you be using it and sending it back? I have one but I will be needing it relatively soon. Use the correct MB tool.

i had planned on doing the upper and lower pulley swap next weekend, when my SL will be on its "downtime". i have a list of things to do to it. im also in the process of ordering a torque wrench for the new crank bolt (so that might be a few days before i see that as well). so id hope to have the pulley swapped, by or around the week of the 19th.

that looks like the one i have but it works on the s/c m112k motor. your welcome to drive over and see if it fits if you want.

i would also suggest if your doing a crank pulley to use the pin kit from b/i. to many m113k cars have lost the crank pulley messing up the crank snout. ask gaspam from brentwood

My engine arrives tomorrow but I'm not sure when the pistons will. I can send you mine to borrow once I figure everything out. If you decide to purchase one through Mercedes the part number is W 230 589 00 40 00
