2007 E63 AMG Extended Warranty Recommendation

Hello Guy

Today I'm Pick-up my 2007 E63 amg 2 ower and only 46000 miles $30000 OTD
and now I'm looking to buy extended warranty.
I got quotes from direct buy auto warrant $2700 for 4 years and 50000 miles
but there reviews very bad
Please let me know what company is good and price

Thanks

I have both cars covered with USAA.COM , their extended vehicle protection program is great and its zero deductible. Look into it, you won't be sorry. Congrats on the car :-)

Didn't know USAA offered this. I should look into that. Thanks!

I could not pick up the E63 because extended warranty cost me MB dealer $7800.00 4 years and Deductible was $500.00

direct buy auto warranty is very very bad reviews
and Jaguar San Diego dealer can not find extended warranty so I drove 3 hours driving back home

The USAA one is great since it is an exclusionary warranty. I wish I had known they sold extended warranties when I purchased the CL 10 years ago. It would have paid for itself 5x over the cost I spent on repairs.

The next MB I purchase will definitely get the extended warranty from USAA. Most reputable warranty companies don't cover the highline MB's anymore.

Talking

to be 100% honest with you guys, its the only reason I have comfort to have a car like mine. I have always been a gear head, always, but only on cars that I could do a head gasket or trans myself if necessary. Old school stuff of course, but then Vipers, Toyota Supras, 03/04 Mustang cobras, anything that modified could really give that RUSH of speed I so ache for and desire. These other cars could be fixed in my garage....

Hovering around an income level of barely cracking 6 digits though, the real stuff I wanted I could not afford until it aged past industry standard finance & warranty levels.... my CL600 for example, was able to be picked up at 15% of MSRP when i bought it, 10 years old, 65k miles, but damn, it was so old and everyone talks about nightmares with ABC, coil packs, etc, what was a guy to do?....

the USAA warranty gave me the backbone I needed to actually own a car so incredible. I drive the car, and when I say I drive it, I FLOG IT, daily, just love everything about how awesome of a machine they (MBZ) put together.... this is something I could not do without the safety net of USAA - I cant say enough to people in my circumstance. I drive a 70K (now) mile car that I have no 'income' rights of floggin like I do, but because of their warranty offerings (through assurant) I can enjoy the depreciation the others took, in a way that I can only respect over and over again.... and to truly speak of experience with this warranty, I had a wire problem in the driver door (crushed wires at the hinge) that USAA stepped up, dropped $2400 while I was enjoying a loaner for the dealer - and I paid nothing, just got my girl back in perfect condition, working, from the dealer....

impossible to imagine any other way at this point..... just saying.....

You are at the point with the CL that you will start having serious ABC issues. The warranty is going to come in handy.

As I am far from new to message boards and forums (was a sysop of a BBS in 1984) - I am curious why this, of all forums I have ever subscribed to or taken part in, seems to act as a crystal ball without accuracy? (see my tune thread)

I am boggled by the negative statements in this forum, thread after thread, including this one.... I am about to have problems? Based on what? Science?

Those that have them (issues) and report them? Which is equal to those that dont and do not hover on a forum to speak as an omniscient being? Its the 95/5 rule in sales reco's.....

What am I missing guys - from all BBS'es to all the forums of all I have been involved in, I have never seen such damning and sour predictions, or guarantees of the dark future.

"My life in that area sucked, so yours will too!!!"

???

I never was pants'ed in the boys locker room and laughed at - but its like those that were say it will happen to all that enter the proverbial locker room.......

The reason you see this on an MB forum is that MB's are very consistent both good and bad. They all seem to break around the same time/mileage and you will experience most of the same issues as all the others. It's not negative; rather, it is based on experience. You can take it as negative but that's on you. As a forum, we are here to share our experiences both good and bad.

In regards to your tune, you are one of the lucky few that have not seen the coil pack failure after the tune. It seems like mine did within a few months after installing and it's pretty common knowledge on the forum concerning the coilpack failures after a tune. The early ones seem to be more succeptable. Are the ones on your car already updated?

You went with Eurocharged and I went with Renntech. The Renntech really pushes the limits and I'm not as familiar with the Eurocharged ECU tunes on the V12. Maybe they are more conservative? I got over 125 RWHP increase with the Renntech tune. Took it from boring to really fun.

The upper idler pully will also fail and leave you stranded. I don't recall when mine went out but they fail with higher mileage. I'm thining it was around 80k miles. Go ahead and proactively change that sucker out. They pretty much all fail. Speedriven makes a nice looking billet set. Anything would be better than the stock units.

OK, OK, I'm putting the crystal ball down now. Good luck with your CL.

im going to bring this thread back from the dead. I looked into USAA.com for the auto warranty but my family isn't eligible.

Can anybody recommend a warranty service that won't break the bank? It'll be for an 07 e63 with 68k~ miles on it.

Alright, this thread may have just saved my e55 search. So I can buy a used e55 with 100k miles and buy a good extended warranty from USAA that will cover me for 50k additional miles ? Is that truly what is being said?

Use the link above in the thread for spot on details, but basically here are the parameters.

No older than 10 years (by model so oldest now insuring is 2004)
No more than 115K miles currently
And I have only seen 3/36 as the longest they offer.

I have used this warranty and own it on two cars, its a true zero deductible and the dealer loves it, says they are great and easy to work with.

USAA requires that you have a military relationship in the family to open an account.

I would NEVER use any other warranty company now. Now I can own my cars instead of fear them.

Great. I guess what I need to know is what mods can be done without causing my warranty to be voided.

I am a USAA member.
