Relay location is driving me nuts!
Please could someone post a pic of the secondary air injection pump relay location. I have researched for hours on this forum and looked at countless diagrams, but no-one can tell me where it is on a 2003 right hand drive W211 E55. I have found the fuse in the drivers side SAM and removed the right hand side trunk liner, but I still cannot find the damn relay!
Help, please?

Thanks for the effort, but like I was saying I still cannot see which one is the offending relay that needs to be replaced from the pic. I have seen nearly every post on this subject, but my relay is not in the trunk and I cannot find one in my SAM that matches the part number 002 542 66 19 05?

As i remember; secondary air pump relay should comes at front right corner of the Engine bay, in front SAM,
relay #: "002 542 13 19 or 002 542 72 19", but not so sure, if you relay or just a fuse..!!

Everyone I have spoken to thinks you can turn it off, but no-one has actually done it. If I could turn it off then I would because it is a useless piece of expensive junk. Dealer wants $ 1000.00 for a new one, 2nd hand they are $ 450.00 and Bosch refuses to sell me one because they are an OE parts for Mercedes, Audi and BMW.
I still don't know where the damn relay is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

James follows these instructions and you should be able to do it. remember before doing this erase all pre existing codes from the ECU and DAS version has to be 2011 or older

I will take my car to my Indy mate who has all the equipment and get this done on Monday. You guys have saved me a ton of cash that I don't have right now. I will keep you posted on the results.
