See my "E55 Surprise" in kill stories. Mine is factory stock and easily out ran a new GT so you should have no problems with a 5.0.

One Coyote has headers, h pipe, Boss intake manifold and air intake with tune, another has same mods minus headers and the 3rd has intake, h pipe and tune. All are manual and I beat all three from 40 rolls. I have this one on video here.

E55 AMG Walks a Nitrous-Huffing 5.0 Mustang
This happens every time I watch a Mercedes-Benz race a Mustang. The Mercedes says goodbye to the starting line like a player leaving the scene of a one-night stand. The Mustang leaves the starting line screaming and protesting like someone being arrested on an episode of Cops. In the Benz corner you have zero tire squeal, and other than the sound of a singing M113, no drama at all. In the Mustang's corner, there's tire squeal, children crying, broken furniture, three barking dogs ready to attack the police ... oh, wait, I've fallen back into thinking about every episode of Cops ... ever.
