FTP Heat Exchanger feedback

Guys I'm looking for some feedback on the "FTP Heat Exchanger" fitment, function, ect. I have done a few search and want to see, what people have to say about it. I really don't want to cut up my front bumper to make it fit. All feedback welcome. Thanks in advance.

I have the 1st version - its' a bit taller than the opening so I trimmed the lower part of the front fascia - I call it the 'fat lip' look

I hear the V2 model is wider and not as tall and fits better...

I haven't had any heat soak since installing this cooler

Thanks for the fast rely, your post was one of the first I read. Do you know of anyone that as the " V2 model" I really don't want to start cutting up the front bumper. I have not seen any post on the V2 yet. Thanks again.

I haven't seen a V2 model - but contact FTP, they should be able to source some pics

and I didn't really cut the bumper, just trimmed 1/4 inch off the lower lip - it's amazing how many driveways etc could rub with that little bit sticking down - now I rarely get a scrape

If I could do it again, I'd go with the PLM so I could mount my lower cooler without jury-rigging.

I have the latest version of the FTP heat exchanger. I did do some minor trimming on the bumper. This was a requirement to have the bumper fit properly. I also removed my inline oil cooler due to lack of room for it. I have a piece of -10 an line in place right now. I have been planning out the fitment of an additional oil cooler. I have a parts list pretty much wrapped up, but have not done it yet.

I have not experienced any heat soak since the install, but I am not completely satisfied about the fitment issue.

Or if you've got an '05 or '06 and want to install your oil cooler again (without zipties or other sketchy methods) you can go with the PLM unit the kit is complete and has the bracketry to mount the factory oil cooler

Avoid FTP like the plague. I'm amazed people are still sending money to that clown....

Like some members mentioned here stay away from FTP he is a disgrace to the AMG industry... I'd highly recommend Eurocharged or BIP can't go wrong with either one..

FTP= F*CK THOSE P*SSIES

Brought their so called engineered HE, IC tank, and cabin filter relocation kit.....took 3 months, tank literally just sits there with no brackets. The relocation kit a metal plate the bolts on to the screws and some filter paper...I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
