SO a quick questions for those who've done this before. Do you cap off the nipple on nipple on the supercharger or does it need to continue to have air exposure. Here's a picture for reference. Thanks in advance.

No one has done this yet? I swore I read of others guys doing this. Coding is not an issue as I have STAR.

You can disable with with star and cap both the bottom ports
I swear you're a hyper-vigilant insomniac that lives on the board.
BTW, did what I could of a comparison between my 84mm "chop saw" and the new pulley you sent me. There are a few differences including weight and fitment.

Just turn it off via star
I did it and no more code

I have tried with my specialist using his MB tool and it won't let us into the secondary air injection pump section to disable it. Had the damn 'check engine' light on for months. Another tuner wants to charge me $ 250.00 to do it - rip off for 5 minutes work with the correct tool.

If the star doesn't have developer mode it won't be able to access it

May l ask what's the reason for doing that?

Because when that pump goes out it sends a check engine light, that pump is used for smog so instead of shelling out money for a new pump just code it out

I thought that the secondary air pump was only on the nauraly aspirated 55's
Where do we have this? Is it on cars or just US models?

European cars have them too. In fact the W211 E55 has exactly the same one found on the N/A E500's. On the RHD European models they are situated under right hand headlight if you are facing the car. I know this because I was advised to find a used one off a wreck as they sell for $1000 new from the dealership. The problem is most wrecks are front end.

OK good to know, here in Finland we drive on the rightside ofthe road. On the right side when facing the car I have the airmatic kompressor, is it next to it?

Only reason I'm eliminating mine is to free up a little space and reduce the possibility of one more thing failing.Originally Posted by 999turbo

You got it - right next to it! A glorified hairdryer worth $1000.00.Originally Posted by Elhonaz

what is the reason for blanking off those openings?
is this just to pass smog tests??

Actually, I only blanked the lower one that the pump feeds into and left the other ones alone.
Well after the fact, but does anyone out there make block off plates for the rest of the system? It sure would have been handy when I did the looped fuel setup to not have it in the way, although it was doable with a little bit of quality time with the air grinder.

Actually, depending on the rules of where you live, you won't pass smog if it's not present.Originally Posted by jay_55

I actually just got the CEL the other day and need to deactivate them but my xentry will not work right now. Would be night if there was some type of block off plate option.
