is there such thing as reprograming our computers

After I left my car with no battery for 3 days my car wont start it just cranks "tatatatatatatatat" and shuts off ...some one told me that I have to reprogram my ecu with a star scaner ..is this true ?

Did you check the voltage in the battery in the engine bay? You said you purchased a battery, but which one? Better off to get two new batteries at once than deal with this a few months later. Also did you install your alternator yet?

Go to user "mackhack" in San Diego to get your fault codes read.
Then you know, what's the problem with your car.


Changing battery doesn't make these problems.
After changing the battery your car should start normally!

You know what bro I havent even payed any att to the engine bay batt ..and no I have not installed my alternator yet ..the thing is that before when I neede an alternator it would turn on just by charging the back batt ..today im going to switch the alternator and the engine bay batt and try again see what happens

Ok I will chek him up ..
but the car had no batter conected for 3 to 4 days cant remember ..does it still have to turn on just fine ...ahhh I hate these problems

Hey guys a friend of mine came with a star daig scaner and we got a code that said heat exchenger cutoff fault or aomething like that ...so we are going to reserch and see how to fix that

That fault would not keep the vehicle from starting. Have you checked for fuel pressure, or spark?

Sound like you crankshaft sensor ist dead.
If it is not working correctly, but is connected to ECU, the problem you have ca be the root cause.

Get a new battery or better yet get your battery fully charged out of the car at a local auto parts store

Ok so we just checked the fule pressure and yeah it sprays out gasoline. .so my friwnd said that my fule pumps are good ..but what im woundering is if one is bad do I still get gasoline passing through? Now im ordering a cps and see what happens

Should have checked/changed the battery FIRST? I think a few people mentioned this, and you haven't indicated that you did anything with it??

These cars have a lot of electronics, and you NEED GOOD batteries.

Yeah I did replace the battery first when I got the" low battery conv off " something like that so I changed the battery bought a new one ..it was driving fine .next day sam mesg came on so I took the battery back and it was low so I charged it and installed it and drove to get my alternator chek .burnt alter .so I bought one took 4 days to get to me .and the car had no battery conected ..and when I finally tried to turn on the car it just cranks ..cheked fule pressure is good changed cps sensor and nop ..nothing ..im towing it to the dealer ship today see wat happens

my car is ready been having it .
The problem literally was to reprigtam the fron module that controls the injector and the throttle ..they said they reprogram because after dic the battery for to long it disprograms ..I git charged 290 not bad

Same thing happened to me after my front battery slowly started dying. I had my car flat bedded to my indy and 1 hour after it arrived he asked why I had delivered my car to him because he could find nothing wrong as it started the first time. A few months down the line we were messing around with the ECU, trying to turn off my secondary air injection pump. We went into the throttle position menu by accident and found that the throttle was only operating at 90%, which makes sense because we suspected this was the original 'not starting' problem after replacing the CPS had no effect. Glad you got it sorted and it wasn't anything major.
