Question finally picked up a dashdaq xl, now which wideband zt2 or zt3??

should i go with the zietronix zt-2 or the zt-3?

i know the zt-2 has more options than the zt-3, but all im really looking to monitor is AFR at this point. i would like to hear opinions if i should just keep it simple with the zt-3 or go ahead with the zt-2 (more monitoring options)?

the dashdaq already comes with the zietronix license installed for the zt3

ZT-2 if you really are going to be serious about datalogging....

Here is a comparison of ZT2 vs ZT3: http://www.zeitronix.com/questions/Zt-2.vs.Zt-3.shtml

Good for u bro! Go with the zt2 as cij911 said, the zt3 is only useful if you want to monitor the other bank

The zt2 is very useful because it allows monitoring of rpm, tps and boost via real time. The obd should be used for timing and iat only. The more you monitor via obd the slower the refresh rate.

got lucky and found one on ebay. after shipping cost, it ended up running me about $350. not that great of a deal, but not bad either.

Man - I've been been looking for the same set up for a couple of months. So, it looks like I'll be getting the new ndash as soon as its available?

Hi

Does the NDASH display only have to connect to the obdii port of the car or does it need to get separate power or signal from another place?

Regards,

OZZYAMG

I have ZT2 on one bank and ZT3 on the other. No need to get a pair of ZT2s. Try to use Win XP to set it up. Windows 7 and beyond were problematic

Dashdaq uses the obd for power

With the dashdaq he won't need to set up anything for the zt2, as long as he has the zeitronix license on the dashdaq it's plug and play

the seller did state that the license was for zietronix zt-3, not sure if the same license will work for the zt-2 as well. im going to call them today and confirm.

To be clear it is if setting up ZT2 and ZT3 together and you use 2X RS232 to link, you will need a computer to set things up and display both readings. If it is set up for ZT3, more than likely it is setup for ZT2. In my version at least, it did not distinguish between ZT2 and ZT3.

I helped someone out with the zt2 and 3 and it recognized it automatically as long as the license was already on the dashdaq

What version was the DD?

just found a local guy selling at nice zt-2 setup with a couple of extras. i just told him i only need the zt2 controller and wideband O2 sensor (i will still have to order the map sensor). he also had the rectangular display along with the round AFR gauge as well. are any of you guys running the display or gauge with your dashdaq, i wasn't sure but thought it wasn't really necessary?

Not needed since the dashdaq is your monitor
