10zzzzz Finally!!!!!
Went out to the strip for the last shot of the season today. Some of you may know that I ran a 11.019 last year around this time. I've been chasing the elusive 10sec pass since then. Really only one other trip the the strip in May of this year but the weather was not optimal. Today the weather was perfect at a balmy 37 degree's, DA's were around negative -1000. I figured this was gonna be my best shot at it until next year as the track closes after the first snowfall of the year.
First run I spun the tires off the line but figured I would keep on it all the way down the track. Looked at the slip at MPH was 128mph!!! I knew that was a 10 sec pass for sure if the tires wouldn't have spun. Took a few psi out of the tires and re-iced the tank. My second pass was perfect hard launch and she felt crazy fast!! Sure enough 10.85@128 with a 1.59 60ft!!
I'm very happy to finally acomplished this. Many people think its just a matter of the right mods and 10 sec passes are easy in these cars. At least in my case that was not true. It almost seems like the stars had to align just right to run one.
I'd like to thank all on the forum that have given their advice when I need it. Special thanks to Speedriven for all their hard work and wisdom. Also to Tony at BIP for hooking me up with a killer race tune, which took some work getting nailed down over the phone and logging remotely.
Anyways it didn't happen if no video right

Congrats on 10s, your car sounds angry! I'm about to switch to a BIP tune myself and also planning on going with a bigger crank pulley. What fuel were you running, I presume you were also spraying the meth?

Right on. Doing it next to a slow car makes it look even better
Judging by the sound of that belt squeal at the end of your burnout, you could use a belt wrap kit. Mine used to do the same thing.

Yeah, looks ridiculously fast huh?? I have a belt wrap kit installed, think it was just tires squealing.

Very happy with Tony at BIP's tune. Extremely responsive with the remote tuning as well. I have the flasher through them as well so I can switch between street and races tunes. Works flawlessly once setup!! This was with Q16, wasn't using the meth as it actually fattens up my tune a bit and it was plenty cold outside and a tank full of ice to keep iats in check, 105 by the end of the run

I'm pretty sure my belt squeeled the other day at the end of a burnout & I have a bwk installed. I was pretty surprised.
