e55/e63 vs c63

If you could go back and buy again would you do w211 again? Or would you consider a c63 at all?
Why and why not?

Just curious

^^ I test drove both E63 and C63. C63 is tighter, seats wrap you more. I went with the E63. Wanted a bit more comfort.

c63 is too small for family duty.

I'm still a big fan of dynamic seats and comfort. So - e55 for me.

I wish an S63/65 was in my budget when I was buying

I love the C63, but sometimes I need to transport four large adult males and our golf clubs. That ain't happening in the C.

I had to make that decision before I bought mine several years back. While I think the C series looks very sharp, I also like the "bigger, luxurious look" of the E class. And the main factor was that forced induction is much easier to gain bigger improvements in power withouth compromising the driveability.

+1... So many creature comforts in the E Class, I wouldn't consider anything lower on the model selection chart.

I was seriously considering the CL65, but I didn't like the design as much. The power definitely would have sold me, however.

I'm not all that convinced that with proper setup, the E55 couldn't be a venerable contender (within its class) for road racing.

Besides not having airmatic what else will break less on a c63.

im still under extended warranty. so far my side mirrors made noise / hood struts were half done / sunroof rubber pops out. I heard that command folding fks up a lot as well.

the engine burns oil... the harder you drive it the more it burns. top up in between service is needed.

doesn't the E55/E63 have less likely odds of head bolt issue also?
i test drove the C63 also before getting my E63, and as much i liked the nimbleness of the C, it didn't make sense that it would cost MORE than my E63...plus I'm very happy w/ the interior.
That said, I have a few squeeks that I need to address, most obvious when slowly going over speed bumps - hearing it could be ball joints and/or control arms/bushings, etc?

E55
I test drove a E55, C63, E63 and ended up with the E55 (obviously). I couldn't justify the extra coin for the 63's when the 55K had all the creature comforts (minus the new technology) and a engine that developed more torque in stock form than most vehicles on the road today.

That being said, the back seats in the E55 are pretty useless if you have 4 tall people in the car at once. C63 for city romping, E55 for destroying the pavement.

I am hoping the OP doesn't mind me asking this question??? I just got my second E63 (08) but noticed the rims seemed different on the front. Just the way it sat. But since I had no other E63 to compare it too, I got it. I found out as I was leaving, an employee was saying how beautiful the one i got was, then said that the wheels are from a C63, and made it look better. They look pretty much the same as what I had before, but I am wondering size and offset. I think the C are 8 in the front and not 8.5 and for the back they are the same at 9.5. Same size tires though for sure. I think the 8 in front is what is making me second guess them. Any help would be great, all I see is posts for putting e wheels on a C. Here is a picture of two of them
