quite a few per steve at Weistec, along with ARP head studs and rod bolts. believe that combo is good for 800hp.

How are they coating the pistons and what are they using? As you know, that's the hard part with running aftermarket pistons in an Alusil bore. The only ones I've seen that work are from two manufacturers and the pistons are very expensive. Both manufacturers use iron/tin coatings on the pistons so they will work and last a long time.

Each piston comes with ceramic coating on the piston top for added heat resistance and Teflon coating on the skirts to reduce friction.

BTW, this is what happens with their pistons after a good use! (hope they fire whoever put that picture on the product page, shame since their website it pretty badass!!)

They probably figure that anyone with at least half a brain would know that was a blown up stock piston. And the rest of those who were dealt a 2/6 off suit in the DNA poker game, well they probably weren't a potential sale anyway.

I have them in my block. The rings will have to be sized. Although I don't run high power, they seem to do the job.

You also need to make sure you use the right kind of rings for alusil cylinder walls and correct piston skirt coating. I like to have the alusil bore honed out some and then coat it with nikasil, if working with stock blocks.

Sorry if my post wasn't sarcastic enough for you to notice. I merely pointed out that I (as a dumb consumer with fist fulls of cash) can't tell the difference. I was also pointing out that they did a great job in showing that the stock compressor has faults, but they left me hangin and wondering who's piston is that. If anything my previous post was a call to action for them to edit and make it more clear on their position. But hey not bad with 2/6 off suit right?

Thanks for responding. How many miles on it and how much power are you making? You dropped the pistons in without modifying the cylinder walls?

Yea, I had seen some pics of your IG and I guess you used a stock block? I remember reading that you had some ring clearance issues. Definitely want to see this monster run some FASSST times!
