Really?? we HAVE to use OEM Wiper Blades?

either im losing it or I just am not aware but I just bought some rainex latitude blades and went to replace.. and ive never seen a mount system like ours.... its got the pin but the little bracket we have eliminates the possibility to use any of the clips etc on the blades i bought...... are we relegated to only OEM blades??.. or do we have a select few only to choose from

I used the bosh icon blades with no problems at all. Maybe you are just over thinking the install. As far as I know the rainex should work fine.

I got some at rockauto. They actually have Trico blades on clearance, $3.81 each. I just got Bosch clear advantage, they were $6.73 each. I also got a set of the Bosch OEM blades which were $31.79 for the pair just in case the cheaper Bosch ones don't last. The clear advantage seem fine so far. There's also a 5% discount code floating out there that makes up for some of the shipping that they charge.

I have have rainex wipers on there now. You just need to use the right adapter. The pin just slides through the blade.

....

Yes the pin slides through... With no adapter...But it is in no way an appropriate fit..far too much play compared to OEM and thats not acceptable to me. Only adapters are the hook adapter..and the snap over the pin one and neither will allow install.
I'll just stick to OEM..or at least test fit before purchase

I saw these below....also I looked carefully at the latitudes I got on ebay and they seem to be an older style..they just plain don't work glad it was only 11 bucks for the pair !..I saw the new ones at walmart and can see how they would work...

anyway..here is an ebay link I found

A bunch of TT's
I bought a set from Autohausaz while I had an order in for a few other little things w free shipping - Bosch Aero Twin. Same price as other $15-$20 blades out there. My previous ones lasted way long enough so why not back to it. If you are deal with cold climate/snow/ice, a good set will be warranted.

I think those are knock offs or clones. They don't actually say Bosch on them.

I just change the rubber blades by buying Anco 31-26 from my local Walmart, pulling the blades, and mounting in the oem wipers. Total= $7.18 :

Amazon.com: ANCO 31-Series 31-26 Wiper Blade - 26", (Pack of 1): Automotive Amazon.com: ANCO 31-Series 31-26 Wiper Blade - 26", (Pack of 1): Automotive
