Audi S4 (sold), E46 M3 (sold) 05 E55 silver/black(sold)
While I enjoy seeing the other colors on MB and once even saw a dark green E55, Mercedes Benz are known for the Silver Arrows and that's the color I prefer to drive.

Car is now lowered and has a few goodies. I like this pic as it shows the shades under the sun and some shade. Really lucked on this car while searching. Has like a faint olive-titanium looking seat and door panel inserts with nice stitching

Absolutely a gem to look at under a nice sunny day. My next favorite color to this would be Lexus 2nd Gen GS Sport Design Edition or on the SC430 -GGP- Graphite Gray Pearl. My favorite color on certain cars, this being one
Nice pic! Thanks for sharing your favorite. Got any interior pics as well?

A bunch of TT's
Glad to share. I'll snap a few interior pics

'Gray' was my first choice color followed by white then black. Having a black mostly garage queen currently, I wasn't looking to upkeep another. But those colors are my 3. Silver looks very good as well, the brighter version of the 3 I recall.

I did like this one though:

2004 W211 E55 AMG >>gone but not forgotten > W123 280E > W124 E280 > W126 380SE
As much as Obsidian Black looks the bees knees I would never buy a Merc in that color again. Within an hour of washing the car a layer of dust is discernable on the surface; it is just impossible to keep clean!

I love the look of Pewter or Tektite Grey done right with blacked out bits.

No ways! Dropped with a set of 20's and blacked out windows and badging - it would look awesome. Thanks for the pic.
Talking about black cars, there is little doubt that black is uber cool, but as mentioned before it is a mother****er to keep clean. More annoyingly are all the little dings that one seems to collect when parked at shopping malls. Any imperfection shows up x 10 and that is why I will never own a black car again. I only wash my white E55 once every 2 weeks if it is not raining.

Black is what I have and I must say it looks gorgeous but if I would do it over again white. Almost got one in white but I was a day too late.

Justinwrock: why not have both. You get to experience the difference between the two beasts :-P one minor problem.... the wallet and the modifications of having those two sucks!

+1 on the pewter,

rare colour for E55's & 63's

Space constraints. I already have to rent shop space to store/work on my junk when not driving it. It's not uncommon for me to have 2 trucks, 3 cars, 5 motorcycles, and a trailer or two at one time.

The gap between the pricing of a 996TT with 100k miles isn't all that much greater than the price of a W211 E55 with 50k miles. We're talking between 6-12k difference between the two.

Different car? Maybe. Both are high-speed long distance cruisers (at least to me).

I'm pretty happy with my black opal. It's a very nice color depending on the lighting around it. Only other color I would take would be tectite or white but would have to have pano.

Do you really like to have AWD? A 996 GT3 or a 997 C2S are actually nice cars and are relatively can be had in the same price range (around $40K for the 2006-7 C2S examples I've seen with low mileage 30k miles in good shape). Although the GT3 may beat you up a little bit for long drives.

I like the Tectite Grey as well. And I have a black opal as well. The Black Opal is a nice deep color with a lot of blue and hints of green in it. Some people say it's more blue than black.
