While I enjoy seeing the other colors on MB and once even saw a dark green E55, Mercedes Benz are known for the Silver Arrows and that's the color I prefer to drive.

Car is now lowered and has a few goodies. I like this pic as it shows the shades under the sun and some shade. Really lucked on this car while searching. Has like a faint olive-titanium looking seat and door panel inserts with nice stitching

Absolutely a gem to look at under a nice sunny day. My next favorite color to this would be Lexus 2nd Gen GS Sport Design Edition or on the SC430 -GGP- Graphite Gray Pearl. My favorite color on certain cars, this being one

Glad to share. I'll snap a few interior pics

'Gray' was my first choice color followed by white then black. Having a black mostly garage queen currently, I wasn't looking to upkeep another. But those colors are my 3. Silver looks very good as well, the brighter version of the 3 I recall.

As much as Obsidian Black looks the bees knees I would never buy a Merc in that color again. Within an hour of washing the car a layer of dust is discernable on the surface; it is just impossible to keep clean!

I love the look of Pewter or Tektite Grey done right with blacked out bits.

Talking about black cars, there is little doubt that black is uber cool, but as mentioned before it is a mother****er to keep clean. More annoyingly are all the little dings that one seems to collect when parked at shopping malls. Any imperfection shows up x 10 and that is why I will never own a black car again. I only wash my white E55 once every 2 weeks if it is not raining.

Black is what I have and I must say it looks gorgeous but if I would do it over again white. Almost got one in white but I was a day too late.

Justinwrock: why not have both. You get to experience the difference between the two beasts :-P one minor problem.... the wallet and the modifications of having those two sucks!

Space constraints. I already have to rent shop space to store/work on my junk when not driving it. It's not uncommon for me to have 2 trucks, 3 cars, 5 motorcycles, and a trailer or two at one time.

I'm pretty happy with my black opal. It's a very nice color depending on the lighting around it. Only other color I would take would be tectite or white but would have to have pano.

Different car? Maybe. Both are high-speed long distance cruisers (at least to me).
Do you really like to have AWD? A 996 GT3 or a 997 C2S are actually nice cars and are relatively can be had in the same price range (around $40K for the 2006-7 C2S examples I've seen with low mileage 30k miles in good shape). Although the GT3 may beat you up a little bit for long drives.

I like the Tectite Grey as well. And I have a black opal as well. The Black Opal is a nice deep color with a lot of blue and hints of green in it. Some people say it's more blue than black.
