If You Were To Do It Again, What Color Would You Get?
The vast majority of E55s and E63s I see in the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas are black, silver, and sometimes Flint Grey. I don't often see the E55 in Pewter. But I'm wondering, what other colors are out there? What other colors exist? The brochure lists all the colors, but what do people have on the forums?
Lastly, are you happy with the color you have? Maybe you'd prefer to own a different color?
What's your favorite color for the E55/63?
What color do you have?
Would you buy your color again?
What do you consider to be the rare obscure color for the E55/63?
I'll go first:
My favorite color for the E55/63: Silver and Flint Grey. I really like the understated silver, as it looks clean.
What color I have: Black Opal which is a black with blue/green undertones.
Would you buy your color again?: Probably not, this is the third black Mercedes-Benz vehicle in the garage, might try a silver or grey color next.
What do I consider to be the rare obscure color for the E55/63?: I think black opal is fairly rare, but most people group that with normal black (Jet black or Obsidian black) which isn't rare. However, a white E55/63 seems rare, because I can't think of the last time I saw one.

I love the silver or pewter ones, due to blacking out the emblems looks so good and it stays classy.
But, I did change for color--- 07 E63 Black on Tan, (Maserati in-between), then just got a 08 E63 Black on Black. I always wanted a Black on Black one.
In my heart the Designo Tektite Grey one is still the best IMHO. A friend had it but they are hard to find, so went black on black. I am or do Paint Corrections as a hobby so its easy for me to make black paint perfect.

Now that you've had a black/black E63, what happened to the Maserati?

My 55 is silver and I have had so many silver german cars I really would like a change. While easy to maintain for the most part, silver has no depth of color to me and it is more difficult to make invisible repairs to paint chips and such.
I kind of like white again, but my wife doesn't like white, and again no depth of color. Black is awesome for the 2 days after it is waxed, but terrible most other times. I think if I had a choice it would be a darker gray or charcoal. Did they ever come in red? The E39 M5 looks quite good in red for such a large car.

Flint Grey
Alabaster White
Yes, I have no problem with white
Wedgewood Blue, since it was only offered for one year (2003). All other colors were offered in more than one year.

03 E55 AMG
White and I would do it all over again. My previous C32 was silver and I loved that too, but would have got one in white if there were any available. At the risk of being shot I wouldn't mind seeing an E55 in Ferrari red. AMG are not big on reds or blues, don't know why? Pewter is also awesome.

I have a black CLS.
It is so god damn beautiful when it's clean and detailed. Then I drive it for 5 minutes and it makes me want to shoot myself because it's dirty again.
I thought I would dig this car in white but seeing it in person it looks too bloated. I think I would rather wrap it in matte pearl white

Black is the only way to go on a Benz
I do like white though.....
Silver is a little dull for me, it looks amazing at night in the city but in dull sunlight it just looks bland.
Black is just a really strong color. It's a ***** to maintain, really, a *****, but well worth it when it's nice and detailed. It looks good all day and night. Out in the city at night it shines like a gem, in dull sunlight it maintains its darkness and in direct sunlight it's like a mirror.
.....did I mention it's a ***** to maintain though Wash it and after a day or 2 it looks like someone took a dump on it. Even so, it still beats other colors when dirty and they're clean :P
That's SEXY!! Especially that angle, the W211 looks amazing parked exactly like that. Slightly sideways with the front wheels turned slightly and pointing straight at the camera. Makes it look longer and more slender than it is. You need to facelift it though

I've had orange, yellow, blue, and red cars over the years but for a family/daily driver car - silver or gray is fine with me. Hides dirt well I would never do black. Any other colors look odd with all the chrome strips on the W211.
I did like this one though:

That's really cool. But it'd be hard to drive that around town because it's such an eye magnet.

Car is now lowered and has a few goodies. I like this pic as it shows the shades under the sun and some shade. Really lucked on this car while searching. Has like a faint olive-titanium looking seat and door panel inserts with nice stitching
Absolutely a gem to look at under a nice sunny day. My next favorite color to this would be Lexus 2nd Gen GS Sport Design Edition or on the SC430 -GGP- Graphite Gray Pearl. My favorite color on certain cars, this being one
