What did you use to coat the SC?

well, I disassembled and degreased before. It sat bagged until I installed the new bearings. Then I partially assembled and masked it off carefully and used some ceramic heat paint in light coats. Should be okay after a few runs but have to be gentle on the surface until then.

Makes my neck hurt. Lol.

All of my pics are either from my iphone or iPad. If I need to, I edit rotate them before downloading to my gallery here on MB W. That way they never disappear like phuckobucket.

I wanted to make sure since the sway bar is almost installed with the entire front end built around it.... So I bought new clamps and a new bar. As I recall when the car was last on the road it had the dreaded groan from the front bar. I checked the original and the bushings had indeed separated.

Some concern over the fact that they will again probably.

I could put rubber-friendly grease between these two halves so any movement allowed

Wow! what was the level of effort to get that front subframe off? I have a new swaybar for my E63, but holy hell it looks like a nightmare. Are there any instructions you've found online? Or any pointers?

I actually lowered it down with the engine and trans as I was working on them as well.

if I just wanted the subframe, I would undo the motor mounts and a few other things, and take it down as complete as possible with the suspension.

it’s earlier in this thread I think. I work slowly so sometimes I forget.

I don’t always have OCD, but when I do, I replace plastic loom terminals.

interestingly they were a 1/3 if the price FROM mb. Like 2.75 each. No brainer for a couple dozen for this job and anything that happens in the future. There are 9 on the car that I counted.

The part number is on the actual plugs. Gotta love the Germans.

There is an additional clamshell that goes over the same plug part number for the cam sensor. Tempting to get more of these and stabilize the 8 coil plugs.

I guess I’ll switch to interior work to get some of these safely installed.

anyone have an audio advice on if I should swap speakers? I’m clueless there as sometimes I even forget to turn on the radio as I’m listening to the car (sometimes that’s a good thing, other times I’m chasing an issue - no one likes me as a passenger.... “did you know your right front ball joint or something else in that corner is bad?”

More shiny

Was going to use the original hubs and replace the bearings in them to save a few Hundy.

Nah. New hubs with new Kermit grease.

And a trivia question: where is the reluctant ring for the front ABS?
