Coilover conversion with pics and....




I bought that aluminum fuel hat from that “davemeanE” guy but he has stopped responding to texts for support so I will work with the shop on getting this stuff plumbed properly.
Anyone else actually buy that stuff and install it?




Hahaha not a lot lately. We had a couple of weeks with rain, some severe storms about every day. And if there is a chance it doesn’t come out. Lol. Yeah yeah I know get it out. Also I’ve been working on another project that has kept me busy. CLK55 that we are going to do a M113k swap.
Keep us posted with new updates you get on the plumbing. Could be some pics or info that might help others out, Including myself.




Injectors are 1050X from Injector Dynamics. I sure hope @Raceiq hasn't retired by the time I need him. Alot of time has passed.

Modern cars make the argument very difficult to do this stuff with old architecture. I’m not gonna pull punches there. I’m prepared to get to the end of this and sell it when/if my wife says she doesn’t want to drive it.
Maybe I’ll sell my soul and buy a Tesla.I used to drive 928s as, and now drive a c7z as a commuter. I’m different. When I bought the Z it was between that and a c63s.
Its important to point out I did this all myself until it went to the plumber. Cant/don’t want to do this if I’m just doing it 100% with contractors. At least so far.

We will see how it goes. I was trying to avoid body work and paint as it’s in 97% shape. I am doing bumper, rockers, and trunk spoiler though.
And “wheelz yo” for 90% of the forum last few years.








Once that is set I think it will speed up on the IC coolant circuit work (single pass) and I want to have a tank/second heat exchanger where the air pump was.
The meth and back home for final assembly and tuning.
