Over the last 3 years I have had mine I never filled up to avoid issues. Now today and forward I will be so I can get this issue to come up and get it fixed.

Before acquiring mine, it was already addressed but I do 3/4 tank mostly with occasional fill up (@ lowered pricing) sine it won't last that long anyway.

Bet that little fix makes you love your car once again and it's not even a power mod.

I just went into my dealer told them about issue and the extended warranty and said it wasn't yet in the system. Let him know that I wanted to beat the rest of the crowd before others found out... He totally agreed with my approach. Set me up with loaner and it was done. It may have helped too that my wife leases a glk with them. So I'm sure they took care of me a bit more due to that.

You don't need the letter, although letters will be going out at the end of the month, however, they just won't change pumps or tank because you feel like it, it has to be leaking fuel.

Forcefed, I would still only fill 3/4 anyway, why continue having the issue over and over

Well guys it was short lived, should have knocked on wood :/. Wife walked passed garage door and thought she smelled gasoline. So I open the door and it hit me. Fockers, back to mb the car went. I assume it needs a new tank.

Not a recall, that would mean they redesigned it, they are extending the warranties, so that means if there gas leaking then they will put in new tank, fuel pumps, senders
