New Year, New Upgrades Coming and BIP Review
Bought my E55 in Feb of 2012 with 123k miles and a number of mods (180 CP, Renntech CF airbox, HE/pump). Well the first summer the crank pulley (VRP) had deteriorated, rubber balancer, due to the heat from the engine and AZ heat, where the car lived its life before me. So I ordered a new 180 from a vendor and had a local guy put it on. Short time later pulley comes off and thinking great now I have a huge problem. Well I knew around that time Craig (Chawkins2001) had a similar issue with a diff pulley and BIP and him were able to repair and pin a new pulley to get him going again.
Bas tard!!!

So I reach out to Craig and we speak. I get the car over to BIP and they get to work. While they had the engine out to make it easier to pin the new pulley and check any damage I added:
- 195 CP (why not I already had the KC installed so should control it, plus I wanted to one up Craig)
- 82mm TB
- MBH headers
- Remove all cats, redo piping
Tony at BIP tunes me up and I hit 463/600.

Well the KC does a great job on the streets but up top on the interstate and cool down I needed help esp in AL heat/humidity. So short time later I add a meth system to take care of this.
Results 506/668

Even then I wasn't happy with recovery and then added a rear trunk tank. No dyno on that one but then hit 522/668.
Now my rear main seal needs to be done so the coming upgrades BIP is working on now are:
- 3k stall
- Quaife LSD
- 3.06 gears
- TCU update
- FSP 89mm (stock size)
Once done I will post up the result or BIP can. These next set of upgrades will really turn the E into a beast!!
BIP has been great and Jason, Craig, and Tony have helped with any random small issues to pop up after driving back home to AL from ATL. I usually always take over and drop off the car on weekends and usually Sunday mornings and Jason is always there to get my car inside or get it out. And always checks back with me until I get the car back home.
Craig, I have talked to on the phone only a few times but we always text. Over this time I actually still have yet to meet the crazy South African who loves the metric system so much he always changes my settings to metric and I have to figure how to change it back every time.
Tony, does his thing and makes sure I am making the right power, the right way.
I can't wait to get it back and see how it does. I don't track my car as it has only been once since I got it and it was before all the listed mods above done by BIP, and I ran an 11.7 @ 121 on my street 19s. With all the above mods I'm sure it will put down a good pass, but not my thing. I have however NEVER lost on the street.
Also the dynos only posted, not to be debated. Both are clearly from BIP, weather who knows, all dynos are diff and all cars are diff. Just points of reference.
