I'm going to suspend mine with the front end hanging down and let it drip dry to make sure it's all the way empty.

I made a video showing the difference in sound between a good and a bad supercharger. To check yours, just take the belt off and spin it by hand. Does it sound like the one on the left or the right?

Mercedes
Don't ever use wd40. Always use detergent free oil (sometimes called motor bearing oil)

I was just kidding about the WD-40. But since I now have this one with the bad bearing, I might try to extract it.

If you do and have trouble finding a replacement, PM me, I have a pretty comprehensive source for metric bearings.

2004 W211 E55 AMG >>gone but not forgotten > W123 280E > W124 E280 > W126 380SE
Well I had to turn my volume up for the one on the left and rapidly down for the one on the right. Do I win a prize for guessing right...?

Correct supercharger oil level.

Don't fill until it pours out of the drain/fill hole. According to many posts that will be overfill.

150 ML is MAX as a dry fill from factory. Usually takes about 140 ML to do an oil change.

Check out great DIY videos on YouTube.
