Time for Smog .. anyone go LT to shorty headers ?
Well I cant believe its been two years already of owning this car. Have loved every minute of it !
time for smog though 
Was thinking about hunting down a smog shop for a fee and be good for another two years. Was also considering swapping out my Long tubes for Kleemans. I still have my primary cats in the garage to use if needed.
Anyone go from LTs to shorty ? Notice any difference in overall feel of car ?
Is there a way to put the cats back on and pass smog with the LTs ? Wouldnt mind the car being a little quieter anyway. Stands out when I punch it at all in town.

Are the long tube headers visually that noticeable? Don't the engine covers conceal them, or at least part of them? I have never paid attention to how closely they look under the hood when the smog my car. It sure does help to have a hookup for this in CA.

Not very noticeable but I dont think it would pass sniffer without primary cats.
I used to have someone over here but he sold to a new guy who did even want to put an x pipe on my car.

As I said no cel with all monitors in ready status and it will pass at most gas stations, and small shops. The free state inspection station will all use the mirrors to check for cats. So that's out of the question

Easy way to check and see if they are all in ready status ? I dont think my Torque App shows that. Doesnt something have to be changed in the tune as well ? I thought they turned off something in order to not throw codes with the primary delete.
Wonder how many places would bother looking under the car. Factory mufflers. I doubt they would suspect much on a car like this.

Seriously ? Does it say that on the DMV renewal form ? I dont think mine says that. Need to check though.

Just checked. It says any smog station. So I guess it could worth a shot if I can find out of my ready codes are all good. I hate this crap. Thank god they dont require it every year. If it wasnt for the state wanting to get all that money it would be every 5+ years. I dont believe it has anything to do with keeping the air clean personally. Maybe it did at one time but it is now about the state making tons and tons of money off the state fees required during a smog.
