Interesting E55 amg in nz.

This car surpises me. It has fold down rear seats, it has a 6 speed automated manual??? Im asking the guy about this now at first I was like nah thats a misprint but then i see the switch next to the gear selector! Anybody seen or heard of this before!?

Dynamic seats and panoramic roof this is a very rare e55 in New Zealand. very unusual to see a car with dynamic seats, pano, red seats etc etc. All the NZ new cars I have seen are standard poverty pack for an e55 amg. You get the odd japanese import with a few more options but this car really is a first. Im seriously considering swapping my own one for this.

Yeah trust me that and the grill would be two of the first things to transform off the car if I owned it!

I think I have figured out what that switch is. Can anybody confirm this as a performance package upgrade?... I figure if so this car likely has the factory lsd the steering wheel could be the stock upgrade one for the performance package?

So it most likely is a 5 speed auto the guy just doesnt know the details on the car right as suspected.

Its not, its the performance package switch p030 this car appears to have the performance package option.

Im sure this extra mode m2 is likely similar to what eurocharged and co reflash our tcu's with. m1 I would have to assume is similar to the stock m mode button.

Just firmer/quicker shifting maybe more line pressure etc etc.

Are you sure that is a OEM switch? Looks like a generic switch that you can buy anywhere. Maybe a dual TCU setup?

You wouldnt think so but it deff is a factory switch if you google you will see it in multiple different amg models that have the performance package...

Mercedes
Yes that's factory option. Looks so aftermarket though.

I wonder if this could be retrofitted to existing E55.

Mate I'm in Auckland and I can say this guy is asking 10k too much, I got an ex Germany E55 in near perfect condition with less kms than this and paid less than $20k after bartering with the dealer, check the broken switch out and badges and grill

Not sure id agree with you.

An ex german car would be left hook? A left hook car is not worth as much as a right hook here simple as that.

There was a 2003 jap import with 59k that appears to of sold for less than 19k. I viewed this car in auckland a month ago it was as mint as they come..... I would still rather buy this guys car ANYDAY. Mileage and minor cosmetics mean absolutly nothing on these cars in my experience.

The grill and broken switch is nothing.

While 30k is alot for one of these you pretty much have to either import from the UK or Japan if you want one with this kind of option pack. The UK cars WILL be in worse condition than the jappas end of story due to the weather and yes I have looked into the UK cars as you get some with really cool options over there but underneath they look terrible.

Find me a performance package E55 in this condition with these options for less than 20kNZD and i'll buy it on the spot.

Not rare enough for him. He had a pair of clk55 DTM's for christ sakes among others that are close to unobtainable.
