Red dust around supercharger pulley
I did a search and found nothing, maybe I used the wrong search terms ?
Anyway, I have some red dust around the blower pulley.
I replaced the bearings in the belt wrap kit as they had slop in them, turns out pulley bearing bore is larger than bearing od, so will never fit properly
But changed them and belt, and I am just seeing a bit of dust.
I remember seeing this kind of dust on the crank trigger ( dizzy ) on a nissan RB30 motor.I think the bearing fails.
Is this the case here ?
It is an aftermarket clutched pulley if that helps.
When I start the car cold, it does squeak a little.
Any suggestions ??
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, the bearing felt fine when the belt was off.
If it is just normal wear I am okay with that, as the car does get driven, and the clutch is probably under a bit of extra load ! ( 178 lower pulley 84 top ).
It is not a lot, but just something I did notice.
I would rather not mess with it ( if I can avoid it ) as I hear so many bad stories about pullies on these things.

Yea it's so many pullies I got a 180 mm pulley and the supercharger pulley went out and we just slapped it on the blower just like that but you gotta measure it and suppose to fit a credit card between the clutch and the pulley. So it was done wrong so the mechanic told me we gotta do it again thats where the red color is coming from.

You will need to address the space between the pulley. I'm facing the same problem and if you wait too long to fix it the clutch will fail to engage or disengage
