If I remeber he bought it from a sketch dealer and had the crank pulley fall off and had to settle for something.
I bet the sketch shop that installed it didn't hook it up right and fuel + spark = kaboom.
Keep this low key dude. Don't go posting it everywhere. Probably should of waited until the case was settled. I hope all the best and glad nobody was hurt.

OP-
So you're involved in the lawsuit and the first thing you do is post on a public forum?
Don't tell your lawyer, he/she will slap you across the face.![slap](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/slap.gif)
I recommend you PM a mod to remove this. You didn't post details, but personally, I wouldn't post ANYTHING publicly until the case was settled.

POSTED YESTERDAY - joined just for this
As the title reads, I'm new to MB WORLD as a member, longtime lurker. As with many other owners, I have had recurring issues with the fuel sending units. I will paste my post from yesterday and invite any PM'S for more info. I am in the Houston area,
NEW POST*RE: start to smell fuel when car idles for to long, inside ...
PLEASE READ. I am currently having my car repaired by the dealership at no cost to me. I went back and forth with Regional reps in N.J., and the Service Manager agreed to replace both sending units for free. They now called back and stated that MB issued an "extended warranty " on the entire fuel system, and said we will be getting new fuel lines and a tank as well. NO COST, and we have a loaner. I suggest everybody look into this. I went back and forth with the dealership ...upper mgmt. And executives with MB. I was offered a 15% discount the first time, rejected the offer, and asked if I needed to involve outside representation. This process took several months, and obviously was well worth it. Again, I will provide more info in a PM. I want others to receive the performance expected of a 100k vehicle, without having your garage smell like a Gas pump.
