rough idle- changing engine coolant? radiator? transmission fluid? brake fluid?

for a used vehicle purchase would you change either of the following on an e55 2003?

PPI said could be possible rough idle issues.... would it be best to:

1)changing engine coolant?
2)radiator? may still be using the stupid old valeo problematic radiator
3) transmission fluid? head not to do this until 150000 miles
4) brake fluid?

any other "definite" fixes you would do if you just bought an e55 2003?

If you have just purchased the vehicle, I would change all fluids and basic parts, mainly for piece of mind so that I knew those common maintenance parts were ok, Trans, Diff, SC, Plugs, Leads, Coils, Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filters

Except for the transmission fluid...

If the car hasn't had regular maintenance the only thing holding your transmission together is the friction material floating around in the old fluid. If you flush the tranny with fresh fluid you will probably end up doing a transmission rebuild a few weeks later.

I've seen it happen several times to people on this forum. They claimed the service tech did the flush wrong, but in reality the clutch packs were just completely worn out.

More than likely, the rough idle is from your plugs/ wires. As mentioned above you should change all the fluids after purchasing. For transmission, a pan drop/ filter change is recommended. Do not flush with a machine.
