I just purchased an 06 and have searched the forum but don't seen to be able to find the answer to my question. I am hoping someone here can help out. I realize this forum caters mainly for performance mods etc but I have to believe some one here can help with the depth of knowledge that is evident here.
Either side of the odometer is supposed to be a gear selector indicator showing Drive or Park etc and on the other side Manual mode, Sport mode or comfort mode. My car shows neither of these, any ideas how I fix this. Mileage displays perfectly No other obvious errors.
Thanks in advance

I have seen a few videos on you tube and some show with the shift indicator and trans mode and some just show the odometer and nothing else.
I have no idea how to post a pic but all I see in the odometer area is the actual mileage. No signs of missing pixels etc.
I scanned with DAS and no codes either.

Have you checked settings in the various cluster menus?

If you cycle through the transmission modes does anything change?

HeissRod, I have been through the various instrument / cluster menu's and could not see anything there that could affect this or make any changes but I certainly am no expert so I cant definitely rule this out.
SterlingE55, I can feel the difference between the various modes for sure, Car is in what I guess is the S mode as it holds the gears longer than in the other mode, Manual mode works also, just no cluster indication.
Even if I move the shifter to the right or left, the car shifts as it is supposed to but still no indication shows on the cluster.
Checked again for codes with DAS and no fault codes what so ever.
I have to believe it is something that can be added or removed in some menu, or might need to be coded in.
Please keep the suggestions coming. I appreciate it.

HeissRod, thanks for the information.
I think you could be on to something here. I was told by the guy I bought the car from that the convenience function showed as "disabled" for a short period of time as the car had stood for a while. He charged the aux battery and the message went away. I personally have not seen the warning since I have had the car.

That is a normal warning when the battery is low...
