40 Ohm 5 Watt resistor works for side marker lights
An FYI thread...
I bought a 2004 E55 with an E63 bumper conversation. It was throwing an error for missing the side marker lights. Given the 5W bulb had roughly 40 Ohms of resistance, I wired in two 40ohm 5 watt resistors and they have worked out great with zero issues.
They are not a very common resistor... Here is the exact eBay link that I bought them from:

Thanks for sharing .. in case you didn't know, it can also be coded out using STAR by setting Gateway to ROW (Rest of the World).

The best way to turn them off is to go into star diagnostics and set central gateway to "Rest of World". Your sidemarkers will turn off, your fog lights won't turn off when you hit your highbeams, and your SBC H / SBC S will work!

Exactly what I said ... I see you have a 2006 - does your SBC S work? After 2004 they are supposed to have turned SBC S off completely, it does not work on mine ![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

05 E55 AMG, 05 S2000
I have been searching soooo much for this information.
I have an 05 E55, i just did the E63 conversion in the front. I'm trying to turn off the lights on the bumper that are from the E55. Could someone please help me out how to do this?
i've been reading to switch to ROW on CGW. However what I cannot find where this menu is located, also if it effects any other aspects of the car as far as programming?
