My "Other Other Benz."
Sorry if OT, but I thought you guys would like to see what takes up my time when I'm not messing with the AMG wagon. She's a 1990 560 SEC Euro spec, originally imported into Florida from Japan in 2001. She has the smaller bumpers, nicer lights and of course the higher-compression M117 motor, good for 300hp. She's a cruiser, not very quick unless she's at speed, what with a 4-speed and 2.45 rear end, but fun as hell to drive.
Suspension is H&R sports with two coils removed from the front, one on the rear, all sitting on #1 spring pads, which is the thinnest of the pads. Unfortunately no one makes coilovers for these cars and air is a 100% custom setup, so most resort to cutting springs to get them low.
Anyway, here she is! Wheels are 18x9/10 ET +10/+5 Niche Citrine 3-pc. in polished copper with 225/40 and 255/35 Nexen SU1. Enjoy!

I previously owned 2 SEC's. Had a 500, and a 560. One was black and the other was red. Finally had to sell them because I ran out of room.

Very well done, makes me miss my 126c 500 euro, I swear 500 mile trips were like nothing lowest fatigue of any car I ever owned.
I always thought this was a good combination,

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I've got way too much $$$ into it, as we all do with our projects, but it's so rewarding to drive with all of the windows down on a nice day. It really gets more attention than my wagon does.
Good news is the US versions can be had for pretty cheap for a decent one. Obviously the Euro is more desirable, especially the Gen 2, but any are a blast to cruise in.
GIGANTIC fenders. There's still an inch wider to go, which is what I'll be doing next week.
Probably not as we have family in town this weekend. We need to catch up though, looking forward to seeing the new beast!

Ha- I saw you today while exiting on roswell road... I was holding up traffic on there right lane to get a glimps.
I'm a huge SEC fan and will have one dropped on hammers pretty soon. I have the BMW version currently :-)
I had a 928 too not long ago- would have loved all 3 80s GT coupes in the garage at once!
I'm all 80s all the time ;-)

Yup- Zinno on black sports 1987 635csi with M106 low compression motor with a gt35r with megasquirt, alpina kopi's, euros bumper,.. Blah blah..
I have restored it but it's waiting for paint and the rest of the suspension pieces then it goes back to the dyno for final tuning.
Anyone going to caffine and octane this weekend?

Nice car.
How do you like the Nexen tires? I am thinking of upgrading to 16x8 wheels on my w201. But to avoid rubbing or the need for spacers or fender rolling, I will need 225/45/16 tires, which are hard to come by for a reasonable price. The Nexens you have come in that size, and they seem reasonably cheap.
