Stock intake is well enough... read: https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ml#post6326786
Take the MB TB from the 550s...No pinswap needed with them.
80mm Y-Pipe was below 200€ IIRC from MB.
Go larger injectors and looped rail if you have like an 180mm pulley equivalent and a 82mm TB.

I dont know, if you can connect such an aftermarket Y-Pipe to the stock airfilter boxes it would be great as the Y-Pipe area as stated, is the only thing that could need some improvements in the intake system (especially on tuned cars).

I know that the ftp intake won't really make a difference, but I like the sound and looks of it and if it always comes with a y pipe, then why not

FSP = Fixed Supercharger Pulley = no clutch
Yeah I'm with you a nice air intake is worth the price just for the cosmetic improvement.

IMO, the choke point in our intake system is at the Y-pipe and throttle body inlet. If you've attempted to do any work back there where the Y-pipe is, you'll see just how little room there is to work with. This is keeping us from having a huge monster intake or running something like a 100+mm throttle body like the GM and Ford guys can (so jelly). I was about to attempt notching out the firewall right there, but I made a Y-pipe out of silicone for my 90mm TB and it actually fits.
Denroll can you post a pic of your silicone y pipe

I'm sealing the deal on a lightly-used OEM fuel pump right now. My current one is having problems keeping up and it's leaning out at WOT. Also, I am swapping the supercharger as mine is making some not-so-good noises. I take the belt off, spin it by hand, and I hear rattling. It's made noise ever since I bought it, but it's been getting worse. I'm also adding a trunk tank & pump and some AeroGel insulation between the intercooler and the engine. considering adding phenolic spacers and header wrap for the ultimately-cool engine bay.
Then, I will finally get some new dyno numbers and track times.
