So, I pull into my work parking lot around 7:30 this morning. I reach in the center console to pull out my parking pass. Typically these are hung on rear-view mirrors for display, but since the mirror on the E55 is super wide, that doesn't work.

I'm already in a bit of a rush so I attempt to "toss" it onto the dash. Instead, it disappears. This badge is about the size of a credit card and just as thin, and slid perfectly between the window and the molding of the upper dash cover by the defrost vents.

WTF do I do!? I'm less worried about having to pay $50 bucks for a new one, than I am about that thing sliding around in there, rattling, etc.

What are you options? It seems to have slid in just behind the center speaker. Is that easily removed and can I fish around behind it??

I'm going to assume that if it's not making any noise right now, it won't bother you in the future - it's probably tucked into a niche...

Well I haven't heard anything yet, but just knowing it's there is going to bother me.

If anybody's got a picture of what's under there, at least, to reassure me it won't do anything, that'll help. Lol.

1: See if it makes any noises, if no noises then forget about it, there should not be anything that can be damaged by it up against the firewall

2: If it makes noise, see if you can get under the foot rest area and get your hands up in there to see if it will drop down, you may have to remove a few of the lower panels/covers

Ha, previous owner of my car did something like that. There's a piece of paper that looks like one of those flyers that get placed on windshields. I can hardly see it but it is driving me crazy. I can barely pinch it with a long pair of needle nose pliers, but I can't pull it out. Where's King Arthur when he's needed?

I just ordered a borescope on Amazon a few hours ago. I'll follow up on Friday.
