What about mounting them before the cats ? That would actually have some benefits for drag racing. Would be awesome on the E63 Turbo. I did one on a lowly 400 WHP 3.8 turbo GP and it gave 35 WHP nothing else changed. Same day same dyno. Turbos really love no restrictions in exhaust.
That would take a lot of custom work as their really is no room there.
Could you PM me the price you guy charge to have these welded up and what the turnaround time would be
I would say that we are probably both the longest install time and the most money labor wise to do the job. We really do take our time and do the install in the cleanest way possible and that is why. Most people just cut a hole in the exhaust and weld the cut-outs on while the exhaust is on the car. We just feel that this is not how we want our company represented when the car leaves the shop.
With that being said, I would say it's an all day job even though it is fairly easy work. I would offer a heavily discounted labor rate for the job at $65.00/hour (normal labor rate is $126.00/hour) but you should expect us to use up an entire 8 hour day. What you will get is an install that looks as close to a factory Mercedes part as possible.
If you wanted to do before and after dyno runs I would tell you the car would need to be here for two days.
Do you have any dyno results for/from a dual cut out only install in front of the mufflers for a stock 2007 E63. Great looking work in your pictures. Thanks.
If you are still in business, I am very interested in these for a 2015 E550 Cab (A207). Can you tell me the price for the components so I can have them installed here in Phoenix please? Thanks
I have the dual oval cut-outs right now in stock. I am selling the electric cutouts for $415.00 for the pair. It comes with a toggle switch to open and close them.
