Brembo Brakes on a 2007 e63

I need everyones help please. I am a new owner of 2007 e63 with brembo brakes. I need new pads all around and front rotors and quoted $2300. I know these brakes are super expensive but I see brembo pads and rotors on ebay for around $200...... big difference here. Can anyone tell me why? I apprecaite your guidance.

I am pretty sure you can't get the E63 specific rotors anywhere else except the dealer, and of course alternatives like racebrake.com. I can only guess they are not the correct ones.

Do a search of E63 rotors and/or E63 brakes on this forum. Everything you need to know about the expense of the rotors will be found there. Take time to read them all. That's how I learned. It was eye-opening.

As for the reason for the expense: two -piece rotors on front, mainly, and AMG specific. OEM = very pricey. Racing Brakes/similar = not as pricey and rings are interchangeable; when time to change rotors again, same hat can be used, just purchase new rings.

Please refer to this thread for an E63 (2010) owner who is searching the same in replacing his brakes.

If you don't mind adding a little rotational weight I'm 99% sure that c63 1 piece rotors fit and should save you a ton of money.

For the people that say don't do it because the 2 piece rotors are better for the track etc. unless you are road racing the car or looking for every 100th of a second at the track, the difference won't be noticeable. Yes the 2 price rotors will be better but $2000 better? That's up to you.

RB has a complete car kit: front and rear 2pc light weight high performance rotors including our low dust no squeaking ET500 brake pads for $2,549.

Check this long term review on Racingbrake's ET500 brake pads from SL550 owners why more and more Mb owners are in favor of this compound.
Low dust brake pads? SL400?

Several car kit replacement rotors were shipped to E63 owners - Adding more happy MB customers to our list.

Cost less than 1/2 of a dealer's brake job but last two times or longer than OE. So the choice is clear.

We guarantee better in price, performance and durability against OE or any aftermarket competitors offer.

RB is the most trusted brand for your brake replacement and improvement.

Save some money

I went with http://www.frozenrotors.com/ and saved thousands. I have had them on my car (07 e63) for a little over a year and I LOVE Them. They are the 2 piece and they look great. At 575 a rotor, you can't beat it.

Good Luck

i ended up going with GiroDisc all around after reading alot on here, speaking to some folks, and then doing a Google search by manufacturer of rotor fail -

go with something either made in Germany or USA - do your research.

i went with the 2 piece mainly because that is what came with the car and wanted to keep my wagon looking correct.

follow the link Jasyrata posted or goto www.girodisc.com - btw their customer service was aweomse compared to another one posted here -
