Wheel Lug question
Stupid question, but are the lugs in the front and rear of the car the same length?
History: got Niche Essen wheels, discount tires put some gorilla lugs on the car. I have broken no less than 5 of those lugs in the past year alone. All in the rear.
I cannot remember what the stock lugs looked like except mine had some rust on them

My OEM lugs are all the same F&R. If I recall correctly, 14x1.5x25MM.
Are the Niche hub centric, and did you torque them, or Discount?
Good looking wheels...any pics?

bought my car used with aftermarket wheels otherwise all stock. I went to change them and saw that the car has studs. I went to order lugnuts to replace the ones that were on there (yes, I'm that **** with my car), and MB only had lugbolts.... Im trying to figure out if these cars came with studs from the factory at any point, or if these are aftermarket.

Do you know what kind of seat they are? When I got new wheels, they threw in a new set of lug bolts. The guy at Discount Tire knew his stuff and said I had the wrong type of bolts. He was awesome enough to take my new set in exchange for the correct bolts they had on hand. I lucked out because the new set was much better than the freebies I was given. Here's a pic:

And that might be the reason I am having so much grief over this, wrong seat type. I am not sure what seat it is, but they are the right size and they keep breaking off everytime I take them on and off the car.
I bought this from the dealer 000-990-83-07. That is the old part number, when you ask the part dept, they will give you ones with an updated part number.
They are black lugs and fit perfectly. Got rid of the Discounttire lugs and switched to these instead, matches my black wheels even better

Factory wheels/bolts are ball seat. 99% of aftermarket wheels are cone seat. DO NOT use factory lugs on aftermarket cone seat wheels. They can come loose and/or brake.

Does your wheel require hub centric rings? That could be why. But do not use ball seat lugs on aftermarket wheels. Your lugs are braking for another reason.

No they do not require rings, they are direct replacement wheels for MBs
