How to make old PDC sensors fit OEM E63 AMG front bumper?

The sensors that fit a GENUINE E63 AMG FRONT bumper are apparently different to stock E55 ones and don't fit the sensor holders. What options does one have in this case?

1. Are the new sensors compatible with the old PDC harness?

2. Is there a way to modify the old sensors to fit the new bumper?

Any help would be appreciated

Dig through all the threads. You can use parking sensor brackets from an SLK (part numbers are listing in the threads). You have to cut up the brackets, then glue them in place.

I just did this last weekend on a Suvneer bumper - I'll post some pics in that thread.

SLK Parktronic bracket is part 1718850014 - you need 6
Also get 6 spacer rings 2215420051

The rubber spacer rings only fit if you drill the sensor out to be larger, so do that before getting the bumper painted. I discovered this after painting so I left them off.

BUMP.

Anyone know what to do? I have the brackets already glued on from the factory as it's an OEM bumper.

So once I rip them off, will that SLK bracket mod make the E55 sensors flush with the E63 bumper because remember how the E55 bumper has a slight dip where the sensors are....

Unfortunately, I can't offer any advice since you're using an OEM bumper, but I'm wondering if you can fit OEM e63 sensors/harness

You have to cut up the SLK brackets a little, and then they'll fit flush

I asked black06c230 and he said the same thing. Thanks for letting me know this, this would save me ALOT of headaches.

I wonder, isn't this the obvious thing to try. Why did some use SLK brackets and what not when they could use their existing mounts.....
