I've been looking into doing a upgraded throttle body on my 55 engine while it's not in the car. Been going back and forth between the m273 throttle body and the mopar bbk 90mm. Then I got to thinking, what does the hellcat use? Well, it's a 92mm and they can be purchased new for less than $200. I assume the pin out and function is the same as the other hemi bbk brand throttle body that works on our cars. Any body know for sure if they electronically function the same?
I like the way you think. Go ahead and give it a shot.
Factor in some money for a spare MB cable and the Mopar TB plug. If the TB doesn't work, at least you'll have the cable for the BBK and you can toss the Hellcat TB on ebay.

Exactly looking at the bbk's they say that they don't work for 13's on up. The bbk's work on our cars. The only issue (aside from tuning) I see is that mopar may of changed something electronic about the hemi tb's in 13. For $200, I figure it's worth a shot, but my car won't be up and running for a while though.
Just get the wiring done, plug it in and see if you can open and close with the pedal. Unplug and replug back to your stock tb and go driving.
Later after confirmation, you can build the necessary hardware to make it work

Not a bad idea My car is in pieces right now but I do have access to other 55's.
Not sure if pedal can be actuated before engine starts, but you could do the throttle body unplug reset, and that will actuate it. And then if no codes go build the snout

I would just use star diagnostic to actuate it.
I'm going to see what my dealer cost is on one next week and go from there. Looks like I'll be adding another project to my long list of projects.

Does anyone know if the hellcat bolt pattern is the same as the BBK? When I made my inlet for the 90mm I bored to 95mm just in case something bigger became available.
Hell, I'm sure someone with the Weistec blower is trying a TB way larger than 100mm.. something like the Whipple "Big Bore" 170MM TB the Ford guys use.. or at least I'm wishing that so I can just bolt it on mine when I'm ready!!
2013+ Hemi use a different dbw system vs the the sub 2012 models. They went to a brushless motor system within the throttle body. I'd guess it's going to pin out different.
IMO, skip the BBK and go with the Arrington 90mm. A few more dollars, but a better quality piece.

That's what I was afraid of. O well
Arrington huh. Not doubting you but what makes them better? Do the bbk's have issues? Last thing I want is to go through all of this and have a junk tb. That's why I liked the hellcat tb. It was oem. Thanks!
So, Arrington made a 100mm huh? Could be interesting
Haha, I want to know what's the hellcat upgraded to. That's the one I'm interest in.
That is what I'm talking about. Maybe 100mm??
The throttle body is a huge restriction in our cars. Terminator Cobras are supercharged V8 4.8L I think… Don't feel like searching. But, they use huge 100mm throttle bodies and make big numbers.
It definitely works in regards to compatibility with the engine controls. My cars been down for
A while for body /paint mods so I can't get ya feedback on tuning just yet. Definitely overkill for the stock blower!
