Just got the car back on the road with all the upgrades, in a word, insane.. I came out of the intersection, punched it, and went sideways until the traction control kicked in. I turned off the ESP and then did a straight line run, and for the first time as the car hit 60mph on a regular road I considered taking my foot off the gas due to the cheshire grin on my fast and my neck snapping backwards, once I hit 100 on a quite road I decided I need some new shorts..
Really pleased with the upgrades, it runs great, drives around town like nothing ever happened, and open the throttle and its a monster
Now for new wheels and maybe a new stereo with the OPTI-1

Glad you're enjoying the beast now she has been unleashed - only "downside" is, unless you have better willpower than most of us here, then you will find it hard to stop modding. Oh well, I guess there's worse things you could be addicted to...

yeah, I'm deliberately not looking at headers or fuel rails

Ah you must be a sage, I've started looking at headers...
Get them! You're already working on the car so install will be a breeze! Huge power to be made, with zero downside unlike most other mods.
Thanks nice to see other addicts enabling the illness
I'd probably install the headers myself, I've done a bunch of exhaust work in the past. Planning on the X pipe , resonator delete and 2nd cats delete, I assume the header install isn't a bear ?
The engine is back in the car, so I'd be starting over, you're saying its a PITA with the motor installed ?
If engine is installed then yes it can be a bunch of work. But if you unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine a little, you can then get to the exhaust manifold bolts.
I'm figuring out parts to mate up to the new headers, I had planned on keeping the secondary cats, deleting the resonator and putting in an x pipe, but looking at this diagram pic it looks like I'd have to keep the secondary cats if I want any cats at all, since the X pipe generally goes where they are ?
or can I keep the secondary cats weld them in with some mandrel bends, and put the X pipe closer to the mufflers ?
I'm reviewing this before and after and he put the X pipe where the secondary cats are and stock spaghetti
standard exhaust
X pipe installed where secondary cats are
so options I'm thinking and I'm leaning towards #1 for now but not sure how restrictive the secondary cats + factory h pipe is...
1) Lose primary cats, weld headers to exhaust and keep stock secondary cats and resonator etc, don't bother with X pipe
2) Delete secondary cats, delete primary cats install X pipe, delete resonator. ( no cats worries me for inspections)
3) Delete primary cats, and secondary cats, install race cats between down pipes and X pipe and delete resonator ( I've used these before http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Magnaflow-...-/110847989857 )
