New toy
Purchased the icarsoft mb ii and it arrived yesterday...
It's basically a fault scanner specifically for Mercedes with a few extras built in....
It allows live data logging etc but other things such as being able to disable and reset sbc for working on the brakes etc....
Yes I could have got a normal scanner but shiney things distract me.... One thing I have found so far, faults it tells you fixes and where it's located etc....
Will post some pics and video over the weekend, but so far I'm happy

For 150$ it's a great machine. I have seen someone use it to clear codes for srs with it. Very fast!
If it could read transmission codes it would be a good replacement for star. Who knows they can maybe implement that into an update later

Is the GM of Icarsoft I900 Variant good? We have a rare Hummer H2 2008, 6.2L here in germany and we a need a good budged tool for diagnosis of this truck...

I'll be interested to see how this pans out in the long run. Keep us posted with how it helps or any limitations. Sounds good at this stage.

Ok so rather intrigued by this new toy, I called our local agent selling this unit. Not badly priced. However I was more interested in the live data logging. Like seeing boost, iat's, instant fuel flow, and couple other things. Unfortunately you cannot select what you want to data log and only has preset pages, can you confirm this? So I should rather stick to the torque app as it is much more configurable to what I want to monitor whole driving? This tool as the op said is mainly for fault finding and clearing codes.

The live data logging from what I can tell is a live view and not recording, so torque would be better for that.
Today I just replaced my rear shocks with arnotts, once fitted I tried to push the raise button to get some air in the bags before I put it back on the floor, but pushing the button did nothing, not even a message on the dash.
Plugged in this unit, reset the airmatic and boom straight away the system pressurised and now the button works told me system pressure, levels, etc of the airmatic, was accurate as the car wasn't level and it told me that with the front heights, just wish there was an option to alter them
