Car smelling heavily like fuel after driving
Hey guys I was hoping to get some insight. I've had a bunch of stuff going wrong with my car lately and zero time to address any of it and now it's developed another issue.
I knew I had a bit of a gas tank issue before as it would smell a bit like gas when I filled up but now whenever I drive the car I get a strong gas smell all around the car when I get out. No smell in the cabin. Any ideas?

Take it to your local dealer. I had the same issue and they put in a new tank, sender, filter etc at no charge under a recall warranty. I still get a faint smell inside the cabin at times though... Usually when I first open the door in the morning.

Call multiple dealers, it's covered under the extended warranty (not a recall). Sometimes it just depends on who you talk to but ask for a service manager. I called multiple dealers until I got someone that knew what was going on. These links might help, there was another member that posted their letter from the dealer about it if you search for it

My 2017 glc300 when it's cold outside it smells like gas outside and inside the cabin. I was told of issues like this coming from the clamp on the gas high pressure side.
I called the dealeship and they told me that if that is the problem it is covered at 100 percent but if not I'd have to pay for the $245 diagnostic fee.
What are the chances that it is this comom problem most have with the line during cold weather? I could do it myself as it is straightforward but why if they can do it? I just don't want to pay the $245 because if it is something else I will be out of pocket $245 since I won't be replacing another issue there.
