Car smelling heavily like fuel after driving
Hey guys I was hoping to get some insight. I've had a bunch of stuff going wrong with my car lately and zero time to address any of it and now it's developed another issue.
I knew I had a bit of a gas tank issue before as it would smell a bit like gas when I filled up but now whenever I drive the car I get a strong gas smell all around the car when I get out. No smell in the cabin. Any ideas?

If the tech was smart he'd say it was leaking... Customer would be happy and him too since it pays so well! I'm doing one as we speak

Take it to your local dealer. I had the same issue and they put in a new tank, sender, filter etc at no charge under a recall warranty. I still get a faint smell inside the cabin at times though... Usually when I first open the door in the morning.

Call multiple dealers, it's covered under the extended warranty (not a recall). Sometimes it just depends on who you talk to but ask for a service manager. I called multiple dealers until I got someone that knew what was going on. These links might help, there was another member that posted their letter from the dealer about it if you search for it

Ask them to replace the fuel tank and all related fuel components.

Yeah that would have to be the worst-it sucks there's a LI for it otherwise non time would be easy peasy----if i bought a new car and it needed new pistons and rods i'd request another new one. Ef tearing a motor down with 2000 miles
