dumb question- trouble opening hood???

I pulled the hood release lever and hear the clicking noise but i look all over in the grill slots on the front and cant find the lever to pull on to open the hood???? others have quickly opened the hood on my vehicle so am i just not able to locate the lever or whats going on? lol is the lever clearly visible or is it really hidden to open the hood on the e55?

You should clearly see the lever pop out on the drivers side of the grill.

Mine once got stuck after I swapped my grill, was pretty easy to locate and pull it loose.

Get a flashlight and look. Upper right center. There are 2 hood cables and they do stretch. Mine were maxed out and had to replace them.

I tried to open it today and just can't find the damn latch!! Mechanic opened it quick few months ago but damn I don't find anything to pull to open the damn hood... I looked through the slits too.... I attached pics of left and right side

I pushed hard to close hood but are there any risks of driving around if the hood isn't properly closed?? Thanks

It's right there. Top center on the right. See that black shadow back there? The is a T that sits at the top of that grille opening. I just pulled mine down by hand without popping the hood.

Also if the hood isn't latched the dash will turn red and say hood open

You can look and make sure it's there. I would pop it and see what happens to it. It's possible it's stuck to the grille. It's got a channel it sits in and is suppose to pop out when you pull the release inside

is this a costly repair at the dealer since the tab isnt popping out when i pull the release?

Pull up on the hood and it should make the T pop out. It could also be bend upward slightly and getting stuck in the grill.
