Airmatic suspension question

I replaced the rears with Arnott airbags back in the fall and they seem to be working perfectly. As of around the first of the year we noticed when you unlock the car, you hear a groaning/creeking/clicking noise coming from the passenger side front which sounds like the compressor kicking on. The car is never sitting low or anything like that, but it kicks on in our garage after sitting overnight maybe 60% of the time we start the car the next day. It runs for maybe 8-10 seconds or so and then shuts off. I was thinking that maybe there is a small air leak at the compressor, but that was only an uneducated guess. Twice this winter we have gotten an error message saying to visit the work shop. I had the MB dealer take a look at it a month ago and you can see half way down the page what the wrote:

My plan was to just order the front Arnott components and replace the compressor while I am at it more as a preventative issue than anything else.
Is what we are experiencing normal or is there a clear issue we should be looking for? I have just been assuming the compressor is "tired" if that possible.

I guess I haven't really paid close attention to if the noise is coming from the driver side or passenger side. It could be coming from either.
I do know that we got that message saying the "pump was running for too long", so I always assumed the compressor was the issue.
thanks
