How do i remove the clutch pulley off the supercharger???
Hello all
I have a bit of damage on the snout of my supercharger, but to repair it i need to remove the clutch pulley itself.
Now i have removed the supercharger pulley, but theres no nut or bolt for the black clutch pulley behind it.
Iv now taken the snout off expecting there to be a nut on the inside of it, and there just a gearing mechanism behind it. There not nuts or bolts on either side, so are these just pressed together? And of so then how do i pull them apart with damage?

If you're talking about removing the supercharger coupling drum , without the special Mercedes tool which is prob $$$ and you'll prob damage it ,you can heat up the end shaf that supercharger pulley bearing sits on to about 320° and it will slide right off ,pull the two little pins out first ,they say to use a special tool to take it off however installing it they say heat to approx 320 and slide on ,i've done it twice if you have a map torch and a handheld infrared temperature sensor that's what I would do,and have a thick pair of gloves lol
If you need that drum I have a new one as well as a new upper pulley.but I'm across the pond in NY

Thats exactly what i needed to know. I had a feeling they were pressed together, just not 100% sure how. I took it to an engineering firm yesterday to try and pull it off and they rang back today and said the press will just shear it all off and make a complete wreck of it.
But looks like heat is the way forward.
By the way, how do you remove the pins, or do they just pull out?
