Dees the Syvecs ecu require a proprietary flex fuel sensor or can we use a GM sensor?
It can be adapted to any sensor, but it would require scaling (or "drivers", essentially). You can get the plug n' play Syvecs sensor for 180GBP (about $270, plus shipping from the UK).
Ahmad, I was running a 164mm CP with a 56 (or 55) mm s/c pulley and ran into bearing problems. I subsequently determined with the formula you provided to me that that combo was spinning the blower faster than the recommended maximum efficiency rpm. I've since been running a 150mm CP and 56mm s/c pulley without any issue. Less boost but less heat, of course. Car feels/seems faster on the current set up
Glad I could be of help and your car is running strong!
Not a 6 speed manual but the 7 spd MCT like in the new AMGs.
We'd have to take a few days/weeks to program for it, but there's no hardware limitation. So, yes- definitely possible. So is a manual. So is a GM turbo 400. LOL!!
What's the bus speed used on the controller area network? Iso 14230?
I'm the sales and web guy, man- that's way over my pay grade. I'll try to get some of the smart people to get on here later today and see if we can get that info. to you.
He hasn't gotten it, yet. We were very clear (I thought?) that shipment would be 3-4 weeks out, and we're still pushing the reduced price/intro group buy.
the parallel install, yeah, well sort of. i'm currently working on decoding canbus systems since I stumbled upon an ECU that's not particularly known here but well known in NZ/AUS.
there's about 5 packets of pid information that i'm needing to decode that is between me and success, then i'll start a prototype harness build for myself. testing and diagnosis, and finally roll out to the general public.
i'm jumping off the haltech elite for various reasons, mainly because i need 2 e-throttle circuits to complete a standalone, and user definable can bus systems is the needed key (only ecu's i knew of allowing user definable buses were motec and bosch MS lineup)
i'm curious how this works out for SD, i personally dont care for Syvec's software config, but in the end it's not the software that matters as long as the parameters are defined accurately.
