Think it's coil pack time...

I've been throwing the dreaded p0603 code off and on the last few months, and after looking through the service records I noticed the plugs were changed 5k miles ago by previous owner.

I'm getting ready to purchase the coil pack grouping as I figure it may be a good time to swap them all out.

I've found these online:

Does anyone have experience with them or something similar? I just want to make sure i do not buy a 'bunk' product.

Try to get "OEM or Bosch" only, avoids any other aftermarket's..!!

not sure ive ever seen that code. internal control unit error is what i find. what makes you think ignition coils?

Ok. That's a code for misfire cylinder 6. How many miles? Swap the cables with another cylinder. 9 times out if 10 it's the cables and not the coil.

Thank you for the correction! My service records indicate that the plugs and wires were changed at 75k, I just rolled past 85k..I'm hoping the coil and not an actual cylinder issue!

The misfire code is "almost" always cylinder 6......I changed plugs and wires on my S55 and soon after got a cylinder 6 misfire. I changed out that one coil as a test with a "heavy duty" red unit from Ebay since all my coils were original AND the new one was $15......car cleared the misfire but still had issues. Found out it was faulty TB so new TB and she returned to monster status.....Was happy with the coil so I bought 7 more and changed them all out......she runs fantastic now. Not sure if these coils will stand the test of time like my originals (128k) but for $15 each.....great quality from a company here in Fl with quik shipping. I kept my 7 good originals as spares tho.......
