Nice. One quick question...I want to get a laser jammer also but I can't get over this one scenario. Let's say you are speeding, the cops try to hit you with the radar but the laser jammer screws him over. Can't he jus follow you and pull you over anyways? Then he'll look for your laser jammer and then you're screwed even more no?

In many jurisditions, laser jammers are not illegal.
But, the Lidatek operates by jamming only the first few seconds to give you a time window to slow down, then it resets for a time and won't jam. In theory, you're suppose to slow down when you're first lasered and the jammer is functional, then the jammer won't jam when a subsequent attempt is made to get your speed. I forget the times, but I think its something like 5 seconds of jamming followed by 1 min of rest before the next jam.

They sometime wont even use a radar gun. I heard they can count the amount of seconds after your car speeds pass the cops, and they can determine your MPH. I was like DAm, thats crazy....

In some locations you will come across white lines painted across the lanes of a highway or interstate. These marks are a redetermined distance apart. The enforcers watch from behind an overpass, start the timer when you pass the first line, stop the timer when you pass the second line. The system reads out your average speed between the two marks - no radar or laser is used so all of our high tech warning stuff does no trigger. Or it can be used by a moving patrol car. Start the clock when the vehicle you are tracking passes an object, stop the clock when the officer's car passes the object and the computer caculates the average speed of the tracked car.
Some (including traffic attorneys) would argue that VASCAR is extremely prone to human error, especially the fixed location time. The distance tracked is usually not large and the reaction time for the officer using the device is critical. Over a short distance even a small variance can cause massive caculation errors.

Another brand of laser jamming is active only when it detects a laser. The manuf. recommends to turn off the unit as soon as the legal speed is reached to not draw any attention.

too many to list
Quick question
I understand how a laser jammer works, but is there a display or anything to let you know when you have jammed a laser? Or do you have to rely on your V1 to detect and your Lidatek to jam?

I've never used Lidatek but I've got an SRX and it has both "shifting' and detecting modes. Detection is pretty worthless because once you detect the laser that means you've already been caught. When in shifting the alarm goes off and tells you its jamming the laser. You then hit the mute button twice and it stops jamming and switches to detection, after you've slowed down to the speed limit of course. Its really convinient having them both integrated into the same unit. Its remote display is smaller than the V1 but it looks like you managed to get the V1 pretty well hidden. I would hate having something stuck to my windshield like most people do it. So obvious and in the way.
