I was initially going to purchase Brabus rims but it did not work out. Hence, I justed order a set of HRE 547R 19 - 8.5 front and 19 - 9.5 rear wheels mounted with Bridgestone S-03 245 35 front and 285 30 rear YR tires. Does anyone have any input on HRE rims?

Hey Chris, sorry it didn't work out, a guy called Dr. Chill has those exact wheels on his black e55 and they look very nice...good luck with them.

I was told 3 weeks. I wonder if the 8 series takes longer or if I was lied too. In addtion, what finish did you go with and what tires and sizes will you be mounting?

You can put HRE 19x10 on a W211. Did you order directly from HRE?

I went with 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 - Brushed finish.

I got some Michelin PS2's from Tire Rack. 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 ... These are the sizes that the Euro CL uses with the 19" factory package.

General time frame is 6-8 weeks......

I ordered my rims from AWE Tuning. I believe that I can put 285 30 on the 9.5 inch rims. Is that correct? What would be the benefit of 10 inch rims?

10" rears will fit but I could not be guaranteed the tires would not rub on my car.

10" rears would allow a little more rubber and possibily a .5" deep lip.

I know most MB's use 30 series for the rear and 35 series for the front with 19's.

On the CL though fronts use 40 and rears 35 on 19's.

Thanks for the info. So this is my understanding, I will stay with my original order of 9.5 rears in the back to be safe and the 285s will fit on the 9.5s and not rub.

Thanks

Saber,
The advantage of 19x10 would be the .5 larger lip. You will have to go with 275/30 in the rears though. 285's might rub.....plus it looks more flush against the fenders.

I ordered a set of 547R's last week. After looking at those pics I'm seriously thinking about changing the finish to brushed.

Brushed is nice... The standard silver paint just doesn't seem to pop out at you like the brushed finish...

Does the highly polished option look good as well?

The full polish is very nice on certain colors. Black cars look great with a full polish HRE. Silver cars look excellent with the brushed.

Just make sure they clear coat the centers if you go for a full polish.

The Brushed comes with clear coated centers.
